NESA ELECTIVE PD
ELECTIVE PD :
CRITERIA
When you log Elective PD, you will need to ensure that the PD addresses a minimum of three of the following interim criteria:

enhances teaching practice to effect positive change and impact on student or child learning progress and achievement

links to clear and relevant goals that are related to improving student or child outcomes

be job-embedded and provides opportunities for collaboration, transference and application
-
involves opportunities to give and receive feedback and/or undertake self-reflection and reflection on the teaching practice of others

be research based and evidence based.

ALL of imagineer.me's programs were NESA Accredited until the Minister for Education suddenly cancelled the entire State of NSW's accreditation process. In the interim, and while the Ministry conducts a review - ALL of our programs are mapped to the above criteria and also ACARAThe Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority. Choose 3 criteria you feel best aligns with your outcomes.
What to do now - Proficient Teacher?
TRANSITION ARRANGEMENTS
All completed and logged NESA Registered PD and Teacher Identified PD courses in eTAMS will count towards teachers’ 100 hours of PD.
Once you have submitted your current maintenance of accreditation, you need to meet the new PD requirements for your next maintenance period.
PROFICIENT TEACHERS DUE IN 2021
If you have not completed your 100 hours of PD, your remaining PD hours completed and logged will need to meet the Elective PD criteria.
You are encouraged to complete NESA Accredited PD as it becomes available.
PROFICIENT TEACHERS DUE IN 2022
If you have not completed your 100 hours of PD you will need to meet the following requirements:
• any remaining PD hours completed and logged will need to meet the Elective PD criteria.
• complete a minimum of one NESA Accredited PD course in a priority area
• any remaining PD hours completed and logged will need to meet the Elective PD criteria.
eTAMS
• NESA is updating eTAMS to reflect the new PD requirements.
• You can continue to log and evaluate PD in the meantime.
